Safety & disclosures

The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, and constipation, most often around dose increases. Tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors in animal studies, and it must not be used by anyone with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2. It has also been associated with pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and kidney injury from severe dehydration, and taking it with insulin or a sulfonylurea increases the risk of low blood sugar. Do not use tirzepatide during pregnancy, and be aware it can make oral birth control pills less effective for a period after starting or increasing the dose. Seek emergency care for severe, persistent abdominal pain, with or without vomiting, which can be a sign of pancreatitis, and contact your provider promptly about a lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath.

Compounded medications are not FDA approved. A prescription is required, is not guaranteed, and is determined by an independent, licensed provider based on your consultation. Velri is a non-clinical company; consultations and prescriptions are provided by independent, licensed medical groups, and medications are dispensed by independent, licensed pharmacies. Medication is priced at the pharmacy cost plus one flat Velri fulfillment fee, the same on every product. This page is for general information and is not medical advice.
