Safety & disclosures
Finasteride can cause sexual side effects, including decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and problems with ejaculation, and some men have reported these effects continuing after stopping the medication. Depression, anxiety, and other mood changes, including suicidal thoughts, have also been reported. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant must not take finasteride and must not handle crushed or broken tablets, because the drug can be absorbed through the skin and can cause birth defects in a male fetus. Finasteride lowers PSA levels, so tell any provider who orders prostate cancer screening that you are taking it. Contact your provider promptly about depression, anxiety, or other mood changes, and seek immediate help for any thoughts of self-harm.
A prescription is required, is not guaranteed, and is determined by an independent, licensed provider based on your consultation. Velri is a non-clinical company; consultations and prescriptions are provided by independent, licensed medical groups, and medications are dispensed by independent, licensed pharmacies. Medication is priced at the pharmacy cost plus one flat Velri fulfillment fee, the same on every product. This page is for general information and is not medical advice.
