Safety & disclosures
The most common side effects of PT-141 (bremelanotide) are nausea, which can be strong after dosing, along with flushing, headache, vomiting, and injection site reactions. Each dose causes a temporary rise in blood pressure and a drop in heart rate, so it should not be used by people with uncontrolled high blood pressure or known cardiovascular disease. Repeated use can cause darkening of the skin, including on the face and gums, which may not fully fade after stopping. It can also slow stomach emptying, which may reduce the absorption of some oral medications taken around the same time. Seek emergency care for chest pain, a severe or sudden headache, or trouble breathing after a dose.
Compounded medications are not FDA approved. A prescription is required, is not guaranteed, and is determined by an independent, licensed provider based on your consultation. Velri is a non-clinical company; consultations and prescriptions are provided by independent, licensed medical groups, and medications are dispensed by independent, licensed pharmacies. Medication is priced at the pharmacy cost plus one flat Velri fulfillment fee, the same on every product. This page is for general information and is not medical advice.
