You started testosterone therapy expecting sharper recovery and a steadier drive. Instead, after adding an aromatase inhibitor, your joints ache, your mood flattens, and libido drops. That is not the protocol working harder. That is estradiol pushed too low, and it deserves the same respect as any other lab out of range.
The optimizer's blind spot: estrogen is not the enemy
In men, a portion of testosterone is converted into estradiol by an enzyme called aromatase, which is expressed heavily in fat tissue, bone, and the brain [1].
